Some pages from the scrapbook I made yesterday.....
Its inspired by an online demo Shimelle did for Fiskars, and uses some of the GORGEOUS Basic Grey 'Scarletts Letter' paper (this paper is lovely - so nice I never want to cut it up and use it but then whats the point in having it if you don't use it!?), and the lovely Fancy Pants 12x12 stamp set.

Its of Max and Olly playing up to the camera when we saw them in April. I was really pleased with photos so this is what I did with them - scrapbook measures 3.75x12 inches.

PaperArtsy dominoes - version 1

They're not quite as green in reality as it seems in these photos! Stamped on gloss card stock with a resisted background.
I like this idea - dominoes - but I might make another set thats a bit easier on the eye! Coloured images maybe... will wait for my order of PAMinis to arrive before I make the next set.

Hmmm....

I've painted, stamped and embossed these kiddies building blocks with images by PaperArtsy with a view to sending them in as a Design Team piece but I'm not sure I like them - too dark maybe? too gold? not 'fashionable' enough? ie colour wise... so I might sand them and start again or I may just work on the other 30 I've got sitting in the living room!

How much creative stuff can a person cope with?!

In the past week creative stuff has landed on my doorstep in a steady stream.... and I think it may be possible to have too much as now my head is full of too many ideas! - and there are not enough hours in the day to play with it all! and do all the day to day stuff a person has to get through (or maybe I just spend too much time on the internet and/or generally wombling about?!).. or to decide what to play with first!!

Here is a taster of the goodies.....

Gorgeous stamp stets from 'close to my heart' sent over from the States ($ to £ is definitely in our favour at the moment, shame not to make the most of it!)

Papercraft Publications! Yay! American magazines are sooooo much better quality than those from the UK - but the UK is definately catching up.

I subscribed to this French home/craft magazine just after christmas... the photography is fantastic and the ideas really unusual.... but as its all in French I don't understand a word of it (!) so yay! for online translation sites!

And as if that wasn't enough - I found these at the local shops!...

the card toppers were in the £shop and though I don't normally like this sort of thing I thought these had potential... we'll wait and see...

Playing with Photoshop Elements.....

Built these two digital kit layouts all by myself - without the help of a manual!

I wanted to go on the college's photoshop course but it clashes with my teaching and so I thought I'd better start teaching myself...

I'm not going to do a lot of digital scrapping - too 'flat' - but its fun to play with. I had added fabric flowers, buttons and brads to the layout but it didn't look right - I thought it could be better to mix the digital and 'real' - - build a digital layout, print it and then embellish it - that would be a good compromise.

Learning to use photoshop will be useful for all kinds of otherstuff too....

(digi kits from www.scrapartist.com and www.twopeasinabucket.com )

PS: M not too happy about being the star of the layout - doesn't like having his photo taken - but I love this photo of him (and at least you've got your eyes open eh M?!!)

oooh look at the lovely things the Postie brought me this morning (and to make it extra nice - he didn't knock at 7.30am! - which is always a bonus!) lovely stamps from PaperArtsy and some second hand stamps that I bought from someone who was 'destashing' on Etsy.

So much nicer than bills and junk mail.
