Yesterday was my turn on the PaperArtsy blog - you can read the post HERE.
Well, I finished painting the boards but I couldn't quite leave it there.....!
I mounted the black gesso'd panel onto heavyweight mixed media paperstock, stamped over the flower in black Archival and then embossed in Copper - but only the parts of the image on the black panel (otherwise the stamping would be lost).
I like this so much - with the added construction lines it reminds me of a vintage wallpaper design in the planning stages.
Thanks for popping by...
The copper works so well Jo. Wonderful creation as usual. X
ReplyDeleteI'm so loving this. Happy crafty week. Angela x
ReplyDeleteIt looks great Jo....the set is on my wishlist xx
ReplyDeleteApropos of nothing to do with this - although it's lovely - I will never buy plain coloured backing card again!! After your class at BiB I have been experimenting with edging white card to match the stencil colours and really love the results!! Some colour combinations are more successful than others but generally they work really well!! Stencilling with a rubber dabber rather than a brush also gives a different effect!! Not sure which I prefer. Thanks for the inspiration!!
ReplyDeletelol Glad you like it! so effective and easy to do! Have fun! x
